Comic #2452

1 Man in Black: Galileo still claims there are moons around Jupiter.
2 Pope Paul V: What shall be done?
3 Man in Black: The usual procedure with scientists. We lock him in a tower until he recants.
4 Pope Paul V: Very good. Time and again, the Church gets proven results with this scientific method.

In hindsight, maybe I should have given the Man in Black some more period-style clothes than the black suit and tie for these 17th century strips.

2023-07-01 Rerun commentary: Now I think it's bizarre enough to be amusing.

I have no idea if this Man in Black is immortal, or a time traveller, or a different Man in Black to the one seen in present day strips.
