Comic #966

1 Mordekai: {by the bar in the inn} Mmmm... nothing like a cleansing ale after hard days on the road.
2 Lambert: {observing the large mug of ale on the bar by Mordekai} What's that?
2 Mordekai: This, my friend, is a pint.
3 Lambert: {incredulous} They come in pints?
4 Mordekai: Er... of course. What size do hobbits usually drink?
4 Lambert: Gallons.

Blatant Fellowship of the Ring parody. Not much more to say, really.

2014-11-29 Rerun commentary: In hindsight, I might rewrite Mordekai's opening line as:

1 Mordekai: {by the bar in the inn} Mmmm... nothing like a flagon of cleansing ale after hard days on the road.

Just because flagon is a cool sounding word. Like kind of a flaming dragon - that you drink ale out of.
