2019-02-10 Rerun commentary: It's been a long time since I made specific reference to the conceit that these are characters in a roleplaying game, with Me as the GM. Having developed the characters into their own personalities and world, it made sense over time to drop the conceit and just have them feel more like normal fiction characters, without the extra layer of being wrapped in a game.

So pulling it back in suddenly here with no warning feels a bit jarring. Disconcerting. And the fact that there's no answer can be interpreted in a few ways.
