2 Bar patron: No, I mean it’s literally a rough place. The floor is uneven. Odd lumps and toe-stubbing projections everywhere.
3 Bar patron: Bare pieces of sharp, rusty rebar poking out of the walls. And you can’t see any of it because it’s all Vantablack.
4 Iki Piki: So they used Vantablack to hide dangerous construction defects?
4 Bar patron: You know what builders are like.

If you live in Sydney like I do, you'll be familiar with the many stories of shoddy builders leaving new construction projects with dangerous defects. I can only assume that other places have some level of the same sort of thing going on.

(And I'm sure any builders reading this comic are the conscientious, scrupulous, and above-board type!)
