I've been to San Francisco three times. It's a beautiful city, with many similarities to my home of Sydney.
Thankfully, I've never had any trouble with US Customs.
The new international terminal at San Francisco Airport is really quite nice, for an airport.
Visiting a foreign city many times, as opposed to just once, is a great experience, as you start to become familiar with the place and relax more, rather than simply dash about in a mad burst of exhausting sightseeing. If there's some place you liked the first time you visited it, I highly recommend going back a second or third time if you can.
