Besides the Supers strips, this is the first time I've put speech bubbles inside the pictures. This simple gag lent itself well to a single wide panel. I was planning to crop the top off and put the words into white space as usual, but that would have entailed either cutting off Draak's head or reducing the image further. It was such a nice photo that I decided I didn't want to do either, so here you have it.

2016-03-11 Rerun commentary: If I did this now, I'd probably add a thin black outline around the speech bubbles to help distinguish them from the background.

With the relaunch of the comic in April 2015 I considered moving to this sort of style permanently. But decided to stick with the classic IWC look.
