It's the third sort-of-annual April Fool's strip swap with Legostar Galactica! I've done swaps previously with Dusan Jeftinija in 2005 and 2006, but missed last year.
Unfortunately for readers, apart from today's crossover strip, Legostar Galactica is currently on hiatus, as Dusan deals with a few minor things like defending his Ph.D. thesis, selling his house and moving to Canada, and ... what was the other one?
Oh yeah, getting married.
Legostar Galactica has been running regularly for longer than Irregular Webcomic! Yep, Dusan was doing this stuff before me. And this is the first time he's ever missed any updates at all.
But it's not a random thing or a slow drifting into obscurity. Dusan has pledged to return with new comics on a specified date. I'm sure it will happen. And best of luck for all those little minor things you have to deal with in the meantime.
Oh, and just in case your comedic Latin isn't up to scratch: Semper ubi sub ubi.
The cool thing though is that Dusan has planned the resumption of his comic down to the second, as you can see by the dynamic countdown timer currently on display on his site.
Interestingly, this comic shows a background that I've never used in comics I've made myself - the back of a flat grey baseplate. The reason for this is that - all together now - I only have one flat grey baseplate. It's most often used as the floor, so I can't use it as the background.
