2 Kyros: I'm sharp. I'm fully aware of everything happening around us and all that needs to be done to keep us safe.
3 Alvissa: So, Mr Sharp Wizard, can we have some light?
3 Kyros: What? Oh... sure.

I'm so glad I saved the Kyros glowing orb effect as a Photoshop action, so I don't have to figure it out from scratch yet again.

2021-01-16 Rerun commentary: Last time we actually saw a Balrog it was on fire. Which would tend to make it rather visible in a dark room. Since it had to be unseen in this comic until the reveal, this Balrog is suppressing its natural flaming tendencies.
