It stands to reason that you can get away with a lot of blatantly preposterous leaps of non-logic if you simply prefix your outrageously unfounded assertions with "it stands to reason".

2021-11-28 Rerun commentary: For some reason every time I reread this comic I misread Kyros's line as "If we all died again, it stands to reason we'll end up back here", instead of "back there". And then I find myself wondering why that would be a good thing, and then I realise I've misread the line again.

I think it goes to show just how twisted Kyros's logic is that I still find myself interpreting his sentence incorrectly.
