Comic #2270

1 Advisor: Mr President, we have reports that a dinosaur has appeared in Montana. An Allosaurus, to be precise.
1 President: What??
2 President: Well there's only one thing for it. Get the most experienced cryptozoological wildlife wrangler on the planet.
3 [sound]: Riiing!
4 Young Jane Goodall: Dr Jane Goodall speaking.

I haven't done the research, so I'm not entirely sure what President this is meant to be.

[a minute later] Actually, even looking at a list, it's not clear, since it's not obvious what year this comic is set in.

And there's the slight fact that this is not necessarily exactly the same as our universe anyway. So the President could be anyone, really.

2022-03-06 Rerun commentary: Jane Goodall obtained her Ph.D. in 1966. I'm going to say this is a few years later, so...

I'm gonna go with Richard Nixon. He makes a good President to soon be replaced by a dinosaur.
