2 Kyros: I don't have enough energy to create fire, but I can manipulate it. From an existing fire I can make a fireball to stop the Balrog.
3 Kyros: Now all I need to do is figure out where this fire is...
4 Draak: Draak think that not make much help... {the Balrog is standing behind Kyros, emitting flames}

You have to respect anything that can just stand there, on fire.

2022-08-01 Rerun commentary: In the GURPS roleplaying game's default magic system, wizard (and other magic-using) characters acquire magic spells in a skill-tree system based on knowing lower power spells as prerequisites. The most basic spell of any class is "Sense <thing>". So to be a fire wizard, the very first spell you learn is "Sense Fire".
