Comic #2638

1 Rick: Terry, what are you doing here in 1940?
1 Terry: I... could ask you the same thing, Rick.
2 Rick: After Paris, I had to come here to escape the memories.
2 Terry: But... it's 1940!
3 Rick: The past kept me a prisoner, so where better to lose myself?
4 Terry: Other people are content to let poetic justice just happen.
4 Steve: Is that a piano? Bonza!

The Nazis occupied Paris in June, 1940, just a few months before this comic is set. So if this was a normal sort of timeline, Rick might actually be talking about some event that occurred during the Nazi invasion.

Hmmm... That sounds like it might make a good story in itself.
