I was going to have it be a remote control radio keyless entry gizmo, but I couldn't think of a succinct way to say that. Nor a way to represent it with a Lego piece that Adam could hold in his hand so that you could recognise immediately what it was. What's more, they didn't have those in 1947 anyway.
