Comic #3441

1 Steve: Jane, I've been reading up on bees.
1 Jane Goodall: You've been reading?
2 Steve: And those mite things. Turns out they're really tiny!
2 Jane Goodall: Uh huh.
3 Steve: This is going to need a new approach.
3 Jane Goodall: Well. I'm glad you've realised that.
4 Steve: We need to shrink ourselves down so I can wrestle them!

The adult Varroa destructor mites are about 1 to 2 millimetres in size. So only a few fit on a bee, but that's more than enough to cause problems for them.

Shrink rays are the standard way of shrinking people, although Alice manages it after drinking a potion and eating some mushroom.
