I feel like, given enough raw materials, tools, and time, I could quite possibly build a boat that I might be willing to go out on water in.
A submarine? No way.
I reckon the people who tested the first submarines were even braver/more foolhardy than the ones who tested the first hot air balloons and wing-flapping flying contraptions.
