Comic #4189

1 Alvissa: Did you know dogs are just domesticated wolves?
1 Lambert: Meaning?
2 Alvissa: A long time ago people adopted wolf cubs. They kept the friendliest ones and bred them.
3 Alvissa: Over time, they became friendlier and more attached to people. And that’s where dogs come from.
4 Mordekai: Reckon you could do the same with werewolves?
4 Kyros: I reckon we should try!

Wikipedia has an article about the domestication of the dog, which currently comes in at over 14,000 words - significantly more than the base article on dogs itself, which is a mere 8,500 words. As with the Loch Ness Monster versus Loch Ness, it seems that a thing about the thing is more interesting than the thing itself.
