Ritz crackers are an American product, but fairly well known in other English-speaking countries through the wonders of cultural diffusion via American TV and movies.
Here in Australia we have Jatz crackers instead, produced by the venerable Australian biscuit company Arnott's. But fortunately the pirates are sailing the Caribbean, near North America.
