Comic #5008

1 Ponsonby: This game of Ruff and Honours is intriguing, but I have thoughts on how we might make a different and improved game.
1 Long Tom: Arrr?
2 Ponsonby: Instead of the trump suit being decided at random, say we make increasing bids for the right to choose it, like an auction?
3 Ponsonby: And we bid in tricks to be won. We win points for making the bid, and lose points for failing it, like some sort of contract.
4 Long Tom: That be a bridge too far.
4 Ponsonby: And that’s what we’ll call it!
