2013-09-27 Rerun commentary: After this strip was published, a reader sent me a comment, which I recorded in my ideas file for later use. But I never got around to using it. So here it is:

Today's IWC leads to yet another pun. Hit her with a sleep spell, and a person of ill will could get in touch with his inert elf.

My ideas file still has some 15,000 words of unused ideas for comics in it. If I ever decide to start making them again, I certainly won't want for ideas.

EDIT: Yes, elves are immune to sleep spells. Stop sending me e-mails!
