2014-11-19 Rerun commentary: When writing, it's easy to come up with reasons to fire or demote someone, but it's much harder coming up with plausible reasons to rehire or repromote someone. I guess this reflects something about how the real world works.

I suppose in the real world there'd be hundreds of eager young job applicants lined up to take over Insanely Overpowered Fireballs's job, all with carefully crafted resumés and scripted answers to questions like "Why do you want this job?" and "Where do you see yourself in 10 years?" and "Describe your worst qualities."

Which, when you stop and think about it, just goes to show how competitive the job market is these days.
