2015-07-20 Rerun commentary: You really need to couch your descriptions in uncertain terms when GMing a roleplaying game.

In this case the correct thing for the GM to have said would have been: "You don't see any passage - secret, dwarven, or otherwise. Oh, and you're starting to freeze in the snow."
