I wrote this with Professor Jones's lines in panels 2 and 3 reversed (and altered slightly to flow properly). I switched them while assembling the comic because I realised it makes more sense this way.

Or is that the opium talking? I was interrupted by a person from Porlock in the middle of composing the strip...


2025-08-13 Rerun commentary: The last line of the annotation above refers to the person on business from Porlock who interrupted Samuel Taylor Coleridge when he was in the middle of composing his poem Kubla Khan. Coleridge claimed the entirety of a poem some 200-300 lines ling came to him in an opium-induced dream and he was only 54 lines into writing it down when the unfortunate stranger knocked on his door, thus interrupting him and forcing the remainder of the poem from his mind. Coleridge never wrote another line, and so we are left to but wonder at what else this famous poem may have contained.
