2016-11-30 Rerun commentary: That's a pretty good Photoshopping job, if I do say so myself.

GURPS Grimoire always reminds me a bit of Unearthed Arcana (the original 1st edition version), although that book contained additional classes and magic items as well as just additional spells for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. But, to me at least, Grimoire has the feel of expanding things in different directions, where it might be best not to go. The technology magic stuff - while admittedly of potential use in a campaign that includes both high technology and magic - just feels weird. I guess deep down I'm not a huge fan of combining those genres.
