1 Dwalin: Aha! Thus be the way oot to thu sufface. {translation: Aha! This is the way out to the surface.}
2 Lambert: How can you tell? Do dwarves have some infallible racial inner sense of depth?
3 Dwalin: Nae. {indicates a sign in the tunnel} Yon sign points to thu solarium. {translation: No. That sign points to the solarium.}

I created a really cool looking chiseled effect with the runes on the sign. But you can't see it very well at this resolution and brightness adjustment. Oh well. So long as you know it's there.

2017-09-06 Rerun commentary: I went back to the original Photoshop file and made a brighter version so you can see it a bit more easily.

brighter version

Unfortunately I didn't save the original bright image - I just had the darkened version, and had to adjust the level curves to re-brighten it again. Didn't turn out too bad, though. And now you can even see that they are Dwarven runes, not English.
