Mysteria Thesauri Iliani translates roughly to "Secrets of the Treasures of Troy". At least, that's the original that I asked my Latin-speaking acquaintances to translate for me.

And of course Professor Jones had to trigger the third trap.

2018-02-18 Rerun commentary: This is the beginning of a short series of strips where they try to evade the giant rolling stone ball, which I think turned out really well. I added motion blur to the ball (using Photoshop) to make it look like it's moving, and that effect seems to work pretty well.

And that's right: thesauri means "treasures". Thesaurus in Latin means "treasure" or "treasury" or "storehouse". So etymologically, a thesaurus is a storehouse of treasures.
