2012-06-20 Rerun commentary: I don't really know what "Monte Carlo variation" means. A quick Google tells me it's a rather dull sounding casino variant of poker in which you only get three cards and there are essentially no raises - you just pay a fixed amount to stay in the round, or fold. I think Texas hold'em is actually probably a more interesting version of poker.

When I wrote this strip I just wanted something that sounded exotic. Although I suppose it matters little what card game Mordekai picked - he'd almost certainly win anyway.
