Comic #2120

1 Ishmael: This is Martian technology! You're a Martian agent!
2 Loren: What if I am? Nobody will ever believe you.
2 Ishmael: I'll tell the government!
3 Loren: Ha! Your puny Earth government is actively trying to convince the public that flying saucers and aliens don't exist!
4 Ishmael: This is not a good start to our mission to save the Earth from catastrophe...

"Puny" is a great word. I can't think of any better word to show complete and utter contempt for something in a sentence like Loren uses here.

"Your puny Führer will never conquer Europe."

"Your puny Secret Service will never stop me taking over the world!"

"Your puny Chuck Norris couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag."

2020-11-21 Rerun commentary: Loren and Ishmael are wearing the 1987 Lego Futuron Space uniforms. This was a design update from the original 1978 (Classic) Space theme uniforms. You can see details of the difference between the 1978 and 1987 designs here (1978) and here (1987).

As someone who collected the original Space series, I have a soft spot for the original solid coloured design, but I must admit the redesign with the diagonal bisection of colour with white on the torso looks pretty snazzy. And the newer ones also have movable helmet visors, while the older ones you had to pretend they had visors. Although I prefer the more "spacey" helmet shape of the older figures. The newer ones look much more like motorcycle helmets (and in fact double for motorcycle helmets in City sets).
