Not being American, I don't really understand the appeal or apparent American ubiquity of cup holders in vehicles.

Why are you drinking in your car anyway??

2022-07-27 Rerun commentary: When I got my current car some years ago, it came with cupholders as standard. I would quite happily have got it without, but that probably would have been more expensive. So I now have cupholders in my car. But I don't think I've ever used them.

I can't imagine sitting in my car and eating or drinking. I'd find some place outside to sit.
