Comic #2554

1 {scene: Scientist Jamie and Scientist Adam operating on the Martian in the Roswell Army Air Field labs.}
1 Scientist Jamie: So how come you know so much about Martians?
2 Teenage Jane Goodall: A few years ago this crazy old lady came to my house and taught me all about them. I dunno who she was.
3 Scientist Adam: Hmmm. That's weird.
4 Teenage Jane Goodall: There. That organ is the splanch. Remove it and put it in cryogenic storage.

It's very handy that LEGO makes minifig sized surgical implements.

2024-02-03 Rerun commentary: Hmm. Interesting. There isn't really a punchline-style joke in this comic. What humour there is relies on you knowing that the "splanch" is a fake organ that I've used in several other comics.

So in other words, it's an in-joke. Not least because the splanch is an internal organ.
