1 Paris: This is nice. Sitting down to a dinner together. Pass the wine, thanks, Serron.
2 Paris: Quercus, do you want some?
3 Quercus: No, I prefer the juice of crushed animal embryos fermented in bags of human flesh.
4 Paris: I think I'll skip the wine...
4 Quercus: Or rain water, of course.

I was thinking about what a plant might think about people making wine. And then this strip pretty much wrote itself.

Oh, and that's a pretty bad forced perspective failure there. The wine bottle and glass look even bigger compared to the characters than they are in reality.

2025-02-24 Rerun commentary: This was always a problem when mixing the Fantasy or Space miniature with Lego props. The miniatures are smaller than Lego minifigs, and proportioned more anatomically correctly, which combine to make Lego props look ridiculously oversized. I did address this in many strips with some forced perspective to make the props look smaller by placing them further away, but it wasn't possible in this one.
