After the Head Paradox's last appearance, several people wrote to point out that he was probably one of these.

Gunnar Kvifte, an M.Sc. student in biology at the Natural History collections, Bergen Museum, Norway, writes:

you suggest that the character Head Paradox is a paradox frog Pseudis paradoxa. This is, however, very unlikely as his only line is "ribbit". The call of the paradox frog is different; according to AmphibiaWeb it consists of "a sequence of 8-11 pulse groups".

A more probable species identification, based on the "ribbit" call, is Pseudacris regilla. This is a common frog in California, and has been extensively used as a sound effect in Hollywood movies.

Head Paradox, who is a paradox and a frog, is thus not a paradox frog. While not strictly a paradox, it is paradoxical enough to be appropriate.
