I reckon there should be wandering monster checks in real life.
Once an hour or so, you should have a 1 in 6 chance of coming across some strange creature who might rip your head off. But who might equally as well have a stomach full of gold if you cut it open!
Life would be so much more exciting!
Or maybe: Stuck wandering at random in underground tunnels infested with orcs and balrogs.
I mean... I could... but I'm too lazy to actually retcon some dialogue in a strip this old.
I have no idea why I thought the strip wording was better than either of those alternatives.
