4 Past Serron: I dunno. I was just trying to lighten the mood.

Laughter is the best medicine, after all.

I remember my first exposure to that maxim was the venerable column in Reader's Digest, which my mother accumulated by some means unknown to me at the time. I don't think she ever had a subscription - I think they were all second hand copies passed on from some friend of hers or something. I was young enough that the actual articles were kind of long and boring, but I flipped through them for the joke sections, which provided many a laugh.

I only wish I could remember any of those jokes these days. It would make writing humour a lot easier.
