Comic #3610

1 Serron: Hang on, the course you plotted is much too close to the black hole. I read somewhere that you have to stay 5 milliparsecs away, minimum.
2 Paris: No, we're okay. With all the computing power from our compuchronic system, we can calculate the trajectory to the nanoparsec.
3 Iki Piki: You're entrusting our lives to a computer?
4 Paris: You'd rather entrust them to Serron?
4 Iki Piki: Good point.

A nanoparsec is pretty darn close to get to a black hole. It's a touch over 30,000 km, which is only two and a bit times the diameter of the Earth, and less than a tenth of the distance from the Earth to the Moon.
