Comic #3694

1 Merlin: But wait, the Siege slays all but those destined to find the Grail.
1 Prof. Jones: So? I did find it.
2 Merlin: You found it in the past. You are highly unlikely to find it again in the future. The spell is quite specific.
3 Prof. Jones: Isn't that a bit overly pedantic?
4 Merlin: Hey, it's magic. It makes C++ look like free verse.

I almost accidentally used blank verse here
instead of free verse.

But as I (re-)discovered
when I looked it up,
blank verse actually has a
rigidly defined structure, whereas
my intention was to refer to the completely unstructured form of
free verse.

Though, apparently,
some poets argue that free verse is not
completely
free - it is only "free" in
the sense that you don't
have to follow any rules

at all.

I dunno,
that seems
pretty free to me...
