Interesting fact about the original version of Disco Inferno by The Trammps: When the recording was mixed, the mixing engineer set the Dolby noise reduction incorrectly. When the correction was undone, the song ended up with a much wider dynamic range than other songs of the time. This gave it an unusual feel, making it instantly striking and memorable, and may have contributed to it becoming a lasting disco classic.
