Ents are of course the tree beings in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings novels. Nowadays many other fantasy works have similar tree beings, although they have different names because ents fall under Tolkien's copyright. Thus we have creatures like treemen, treefolk, and treants.
At least in serious fantasy works. As a work of parody I believe I'm okay using the word to describe the treefolk in this world.
