If you go back to the last time the Fantasy gang had a campfire, you'll notice the appearance of the fire has changed. Back then I hand-made a fire graphic using layers of different colours and Photoshop's Liquify filter. Each fire took a painstaking process of drawing out each individual flame peak with a brush, and the result wasn't particularly realistic looking.

This new fire is thanks to a new Render Flame tool. All I have to do is draw a line where I want to flames to appear, and click a button. I've also adjusted the transparency a little, so you can see through the tops of the flames a bit. It's not perfect, but it's better and much, much faster.
