Menudo is not only a Mexican spicy tripe soup, but also a Philippine non-spicy non-tripe stew, and a Puerto Rican boy band, in which Ricky Martin got his start.
It's not clear to me whether the band was named after the Mexican soup or the Philippine stew. One might ungraciously suggest that the band is spicy tripe, so perhaps that's a clue.
I've eaten tripe and... well, let's just say I'm not going out of my way to sample it again. I haven't tried eyeballs though.
