2 Lucas: We actually have to take the electrum sceptre with the silver knob at the bottom and golden ball at the top.
3 Lucas: But don’t touch the crown or the throne!
4 Eleven: Why are you telling me?
4 Lucas: I’m not going near them!

Honestly, it's a cliché by this point. Everything is incredibly dangerous, except the one random thing that you need to progress further through the dungeon. And there's virtually no way to tell the difference except by dangerous experimentation.

It looks like the silver snake heads got obscured by Eleven and Lucas's heads in each panel. You can see the snake bodies spiralling up the sides of the throne. Just imagine large cobra heads in attack pose as the armrests and you've got the picture.
