This is the first time I've used the word "w00t" in a strip. I generally try to avoid net slang, but it seemed the perfect thing for these guys to say at that point.

2014-02-07 Rerun commentary: Correction! This is actually not the first time that "w00t" was used in a strip. That "honour" goes to strip #560, in which the word "w00t" is clearly visible both on the Hippo's blog post and in the comic transcript. I can beg lenience here since that instance was actually drawn by Dean Stahl, and not written by me.

I can say more authoritatively, however, that this is in fact the last time that "w00t" was ever used in the comic.
