The Starry Night is one of the most famous paintings by Vincent van Gogh. I've always liked this painting.

2014-09-29 Rerun commentary: That's my kitchen window. Though it's not really the view I get from it. In reality there are a lot of trees and a hill in the way - I don't really have a clear view of the sky at all from that window.

The Starry Night inspired Don McLean's song Vincent, about the life and works of van Gogh. Vincent's paintings are beautiful and vibrant, but it's hard to look at them and not feel some of the sadness of his life.
