Comic #1171

1 Spanners: {walking along a starport corridor} Let's hit the starport markets. There's some new hardware I want to get for the ship.
2 Paris: Cyberspace safety interlocks? The nav beacon they told us to install at the last safety inspection?
3 Paris: Intruder detection alarms so we don't get surprised by rampaging xenomorphs again?
4 Spanners: No. A faster cyberspace card to support the latest games.

I don't know what the hell sort of graphics card my computer has, and I don't care, since I don't play computer games. All I really know about graphics cards is that people who do play games constantly seem to want faster ones.

2015-08-14 Rerun commentary: Since this comic was first published, I've upgraded my computer a couple of times. But I still didn't bother maxing out the graphics card on my latest machine. Maybe if I decide to install Tetris one day I'll need to upgrade or something.
