Comic #1177

1 Serron: Be careful. These markets are famous for merchants trying to make a quick motza.
1 Iki Piki: A motza, really?
2 Sales Guy: Hello friends. Look at these beautiful deuterium ox-hide starship seat covers! Only 299 credits!
3 Spanners: Deuterium ox-hide? What sort of animal does that come from?
4 Sales Guy: Heavy water buffalo.

motza, n. colloq. a large amount of money, esp. a gambling win [? f. Yiddish matzo, bread]
  – Oxford Dictionary of Australian Colloquialisms

Of course there's a good reason I used this instead of a more widely known term.

For everything else, I can just link:

2015-08-22 Rerun commentary: Admittedly those seat covers look a bit... furry for ox-hide.

Imagine the Starship Enterprise bridge, with custom seat covers on all the crew station seats. That would be kind of cool.

And yes, I've been known to use the word "motza" in casual conversation. Australian English is so much fun!
