1 Shakespeare: {reading computer screen} "Article III. Section 2. The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution..."
2 Shakespeare: Gah. How can I write this more clearly and relevantly for modern society?
3 {beat}
4 Shakespeare: {typing} The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers.

Article III of the US Constitition describes the makeup and powers of the judicial branch of the US government.

One of Shakespeare's most amusing quotations is spoken by Dick in Act IV, scene 2 of King Henry VI, Part 2. Apparently people have been making lawyer jokes for over 400 years.

2015-10-17 Rerun commentary: Actually, maybe constitutions should periodically be revamped and updated into modern language. A few hundred years seems about the right amount of time. Either they get rewritten periodically, or else they'll eventually end up ossified in something equivalent to Middle English, that virtually nobody can actually understand any more. That seems somewhat undesirable.
