Comic #1819

1 {scene: His Majesty's Ship Anatotitan}
1 Mate: Land ho, captain! It's Antigua.
2 Ponsonby: Set course for that small island off the coast. That's where the pirates will have headed.
3 Ponsonby: We'll need to keep an eye out for the natives as we search the island.
4 Mate: Why, Captain Ponsonby, sir?
4 Ponsonby: They're likely to be Antiguanistic.

Antigua is today part of the country of Antigua and Barbuda, which is made of the islands of, er, Antigua and Barbuda. And some small islands off the coast.

2018-09-05 Rerun commentary: Of course if the small island is off the other coast, the natives may not necessarily be Antiguanistic, but they could well be Barbudians.
