Comic #2047

1 Villager: {appearing, with a guard and some horses} Hi, you're the ones to be banished into the Swamp of Terror? Sorry we're late.
2 Villager: We had a bit of trouble rounding up enough horses and packing the supplies for you.
3 Mordekai: And the silver?
3 Villager: Only 120 nobles, I'm afraid.
4 Mordekai: I've been banished from better goblin villages than this!

Yeah, when they're about to banish you into a Swamp of Terror, it's not exactly advisable to go around insulting them.

2020-03-08 Rerun commentary: In most fantasy RPGs, two villagers and a horse might have trouble banishing a party of six seasoned adventurers anywhere. One presumes they have a torch- and pitchfork-wielding mob for support, just off-panel to the right.
