2012-07-02 Rerun commentary: Yeah, in the value system of most gamers, those things rank above mere life. This is what's meant by the saying "life is cheap".

The true cost of life is equivalent to the scant few hundred gold pieces needed to pay off a cleric to cast Raise Dead. A decent +2 sword is clearly worth much more.
