In reality, I don't think Charles Lutwidge Dodgson was a Cockney. Just to dispel any misconceptions or accusations that I'm misrepresenting reality.

2021-03-20 Rerun commentary: Dodgson was actually born in Daresbury in... wait for it... Cheshire. He lived there until the age of 11, when in 1843 his father took up the rectorship of the Church of St Peter in Croft-on-Tees, North Yorkshire. He went on to study at Rugby School in Warwickshire, and then Oxford University.

So there's pretty much no doubt that he was not a Cockney.
