3 Prof. Jones: Don't be ridiculous! I wouldn't think of food when we have such an important task to do.
4 Monty: Good.
4 Prof. Jones: We need to sample all their beers!

The background photo is one I took myself, in Friedrichshafen. Anyone familiar with the town will know the distinctive shape of the Schlosskirche with its twin towers, which you can see in the background.

Friedrichshafen is in the modern German state of Baden-Württemberg, but in the 1930s it was in the Free People's State of Württemberg.

2022-10-29 Rerun commentary: I deliberately structured the 's' alliteration in Monty's list of foods to lead into the idea that the final word would be "sausages", thus setting up the subversion that was actually used. Hopefully that made it funnier for someone.
